Material types
Self adhesive PVC (vinyl)
Available in many colours (ask to see our swatch), including white and clear.
These can be cut to fit round complex curves. PVC offers short life of up to two years but special materials provide extra opacity and last up to ten years outdoors. Clear vinyl is used for window stickers with the addition of a solid background colour.
There are also a number of types of adhesive available. These vary from ultra low tack (peels off paper without damaging it) to ultra destructible (will not peel off anything!)
Rigid PVC
Thicker than the self adhesive vinyls above and without the plasticiser that makes them flexible, this material (when backed with adhesive) is usually used where a self adhesive sign is required. Available in thicknesses from 140 – 1000 microns in clear, white (gloss and matt) and clear mark resistant finishes. Opaque white is available where light show through is a problem. Most grades have the adhesive applied post printing.
Polyester
Very thin with a permanent or semi permanent adhesive backing. Available in white clear and metallic finishes including brushed silver and gold.
Solid Aluminium Foil
Available in chrome or dull silver finish with an aggressive permanent adhesive on the back. Suitable for high temperature applications.
Aluminum Plate
0.6mn thick aluminium plate with a brushed silver finish. Available with holes punched and/or permanent adhesive to rear.
Static cling
We can print on static cling or self adhesive materials. Static cling materials cling to the glass without the use of glues and therefore peel off without leaving a sticky residue. They are most often used for the interiors of window displays and the rear windows of cars for example.
We have a variety of materials including tamper proof stickers that read VOID if removed.
We can print metallic foils onto vinyl self adhesives using thermal resin. Plus much much more so please contact us to discuss your needs.
Domed labels
These are suitable for badging products such as pc cases and are made of resin and polyesters.
